Zinggit is a voice-to-content service operated by Sentient Creative Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

When this policy refers to “Zinggit”, “we”, “us” or “our”, it means Sentient Creative Ltd. “You” means any person who uses the Zinggit service.

2 What data we collect

Account data

  • Email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
  • Account creation date and last login

Voice and content data

  • Audio recordings you make within the app
  • Transcripts generated from your recordings
  • Content you generate (blog posts, LinkedIn posts, scripts, newsletters, reels, presentations)
  • Writing samples you provide to build your My Voice profile
  • Ideas, notes and collections you create in your library

Usage data

  • Pages visited, features used and actions taken within the app
  • Device type, browser, operating system and IP address
  • Session duration and frequency of use

Payment data

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data directly. We retain records of your subscription plan, status and billing history.

3 How we use your data

We do not use your voice recordings or content to train AI models. Your data is used solely to deliver and improve your personal Zinggit experience.

All third-party providers are required to handle your data in accordance with applicable data protection law. We do not sell your data to any third party.

5 Cookies

Zinggit uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies — required for the service to function (authentication sessions, preferences)
  • Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4 to understand how users interact with Zinggit

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use Zinggit. Disabling essential cookies may prevent the service from working correctly.

6 Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:

  • Account data and content: retained until you delete your account
  • Audio recordings: processed for transcription, then deleted from our servers within 30 days
  • Billing records: retained for 7 years as required by UK law
  • Analytics data: retained per Google Analytics 4 default settings (up to 14 months)

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7 Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data
  • Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
  • Portability — request your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interest
  • Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time

If you are in the UK or EU and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (in the UK: the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk).

8 International data transfers

Zinggit is operated from the UK. Some of our third-party providers (including Google and Vercel) may process data outside the UK and EEA. Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the relevant authority.

9 Children

Zinggit is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10 Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a notice in the app. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Zinggit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
